Intense and absorbing. Quinn's loyalty and desire to keep Carey's secret is admirable, but also frustrating given the unrelenting bullying she receives.

Her friendship with George provides the warmth, a much needed respite from all the loneliness and heartache. I liked that the secondary characters, esp Blake and Ang were complex and sympathetic.

I loved the ending, but I also didn't. It's that kind of book.
