4 stars

I'm not going to lie, this book was pretty hard for me to get through. Seems like everything that was brought up hit way too close to home for my liking.

The book itself wasn't a bad read. I read it fairly quickly and I thought the writing was pretty smooth for the most part. It was kind of lengthy. I felt as if it could have been wrapped up a lot sooner. Perhaps 100 pages sooner? Okay that's just snarky. But really. I'm all for sensitive guys. It's nice for guys to actually show they have a brain and a heart every now and then. But Caden...oh stupid Caden lol. I felt for the guy. I really did. Poor guy was sensitive and caring and had it used against him in the worst way. Although, he did turn into a complete douche after Kevin's changes. Bobby...a complete jackhole. That's about all there is to say about him. Kevin. I really liked Kevin. He seemed to be a sweet down to earth guy that just really wanted to find a good, caring and loving partner that liked him for him even though he was not happy in his own body. It was nice to see him go through the transformation he did and stay the same person inside. You don't see that often in real life lol. Sad but true.

I'm going to give this 4 stars. I would give it 5 but like I said, it hit way too close to home for me and I was just uncomfortable 90% of the time I was reading it. I did like it enough to look into other books by Reed.

Susan One question: was there cheating? I can't do cheating.

Depends on what you consider cheating...

Susan Ugh...that's a sensitive subject...

Maybe I'll ask: while 2 of them are a couple, did 1 go out and either have sex with someone else? Or, even worse, did they wish for a relationship with someone else?

Amanda From what I remember, Guy A found Guy B but then things happened so Guy A found Guy C who knew Guy B and caused a big shit storm. lol that's the only way I know how to describe it without giving the story away because while it wasn't exactly cheating it still really annoyed and bothered me because I don't like cheating either. It's not a bad book though.

Susan HAHAHAHAHA! That makes COMPLETE sense *blinks confusingly* :)

Ok, I'm going to add it, but mark it w/ a mental red flag. I've been wanting to check out Rick Reed so we'll see...

Amanda HA! It's more of a...misunderstanding/asshole mentality + douche bag "friend" type deal. I liked it enough to consider reading more of his books.
