Fun! Reading this made me realize I need to read more YA about witches/demons/magic/ghosts and less about sad end of the world stuff. It's basically like a (much) less weird, teen version of Suspiria. Do teens even know about Suspiria? Half the adults I said that to looked at me blankly. Anyway, this combined a lot of things I like: dance, searching for a missing sister, boarding school, secrets in old books, sorcery.

Melissa I wonder how SAB - considering its a real ballet school, attached to the NYCB - feels about its school being a conduit for predatory demons? I am intrigued.

Erica In the book they call it NY Ballet Academy. But that certainly presents some marketing challenges!

Melissa Ahhh. Synopses aren't everything.

(reminds me of the movies CENTER STAGE and THE COMPANY. Both changed the company name to something less-specific but most people knew the companies were ABT and Joffrey, respectively. Definitely presents challenges.)
