Interesting book. I'm not going to linger on the science of it all, and whether it could happen or not, because honestly I don't care. It's a book. A fiction book. Anyways:

The writing was beautiful. Everything in it reminded me of a dream, the imagery and slower, introspective sentences were appealing.

To me, this isn't really a story of how the world slowed in its rotation. The story did not seem to revolve around the slowing. Rather, it was about how a girl started to become a woman, and her reactions to events that mostly may or may not have been caused by the slowing, though they seem to be just as likely to happen in real life (view spoiler).

It did get a bit boring at parts, thus the 4 stars. If you're looking for a coming-of-age novel, this one is pretty good. If you're looking for a dystopian-action-thriller, look elsewhere.
