In this non-fiction version of The Hurt Locker, the author vividly describes what it was like to risk his life repeatedly in an EOD unit in Iraq, as well as dealing with the “Crazy” when back home. The narrative is unnecessarily (IMO) jumbled, presumably reflecting the disordered thinking of one likely dealing with both PTSD and TBI.

Should be required reading for all of the armchair generals who sent our brave young men and women to war on such spurious grounds, as well as all of the wannabe leaders who would continue to push such policies.
