I loved this story. It was very well written and all the characters have depth and dimension. This is Obsidian and Dr. Allison Bakers story. Obsidian is still in a coma after months of being freed from Mercile's laboratory's, he has be horribly tortured over the many years of his captivity. He went crazy watching the guard murder his mate hitting the bars with is body trying to get out to help her. After Obsidian is freed he is taken unconscious to the NSO hospital at Homeland and put in the care of Dr. Allison Baker, who after months of trying to get him to wake up becomes obsessed with him and a little in love. Alli as she is called kidnaps Obsidian. This is a great pairing of a couple and I felt their love growing everyday they were together. Obsidian is almost cave man like an he talks in short commands. He is very good at bullying and manipulation to get his way with Alli. I love him he is a great character. He has no social skill at all because he has been isolated and keep alone except for his mate during his entire captivity and his mate never talked to him neither did the technician that he was around, so Obsidian had limited speech skills and I think Ms. Dohner did an excellent job in the way he communicates with others through out the story. It would not have been a convincing story of his captivity if Obsidian spoke good English or had any type of social skill. This was a Great Love Story and I Highly Recommend Obsidian. I just wish it had been a little longer. I didn't want it to end!
