Read from August 25 to 28, 2012 — I own a copy

My overall rating: 4.5
Was that really a children's book? My, my. I guess I shouldn't underestimate the pure literary entertainment children's books can bring! The Hobbit was splendid and not only because I got to say, "Bilbo Baggins," which may be the best name given to a character EVER, but also because the story flowed well. J.R.R Tolkien is a very fine author. In some ways it did not feel like I was reading a book. I sometimes felt as though Tolkien was standing before me and reciting a story. Some books have choppy parts that do not quite mesh together, but The Hobbit was not one of them. The sequence of events felt natural and unforced. I am very much looking forward to the movie adaptation. December seems so far away!
P.S. I find the cover oddly beautiful. It makes me want to reread it!
