Such a great book in terms of readability. I couldn't put it down. That being said, it's a really haunting tale and I found nothing about it justifies the annual death tally that results in high altitude climbing. I'm a huge fan of mountaineering and hiking, but after reading this and knowing the tole it takes on the human body, the risks involved, and the nearly fruitless victory it provides, I just can't see ever attempting a mountain of this size.

Rocky I've never actually read this before. I read Into the Wild, which was excellent. I LOVE this book. I couldn't put it down last night, so I'm almost finished. I'll give my full review soon.
