really liked it

4.5 stars (4 + extra for giving me more Vadim, which... love Love LOVE!)

I really enjoyed this one. The story was wonderful, well written like I expect from Voinov with great characters. It's much, MUCH, milder than the dark or intense Voinovs that I lust so hard after, which was perfect this time around. As always, I loved the characters, Nikolai being my favorite of the MCs, and true to form Voinov also threw me into wanting to scream at others, this time it was Anya, Nikolai's sister. I would very much have liked to bitchslap her. A few times. Gotta love how Voinov can pull such strong reactions from me, even when it's growling instead of uberlove.

I enjoyed the relationship of Nikolai and Henri, loved getting to revisit the Krasnoradas and being an over the top hardcore Vadim fangrrl I absolutely LOVED getting to read about him again. And got to do it without the other SF characters I can't stand getting in the way. Yay for that! The father/son moments in this one made me all kinds of re-fangrrly and a bit mushy gushy as well. Was just fabulous.

Wonderful book. Absolutely wonderful.
