I wasn't enormously impressed with this book. Anne and Isobel Nevill were utterly unsympathetic and their father (not, as the author claims and the heroine mentions ad nauseam, known as 'the kingmaker' in his lifetime) shadowy and unformed. It felt rushed and I didn't get the sense that the author understood the time, or the people, she wrote about.
