** spoiler alert ** prozac nation by elizabeth wurtzel. eh. it's not a coincidence that i chose to read this book while i was getting off zoloft. i thought it might give me some insight into myself and my situation. not so much. sure, i recognized myself in the main character (it's a memoir, i know, but you get what i mean). i saw that we had a lot of the same issues. of course, i was hoping for some sort of resolution, but didn't get one. ew just got on prozac (obviously) and some lithium and tra la la. there was no closure. i don't know what i was expecting. i guess if you're looking for a read that sheds some light on the young depressed masses of america, this is a good one, and it's mostly well written. 3.5/5
