it was amazing

I don't want to give any spoilers, but just let me say - the first chapter of Neverlove had me practically hyperventilating. It was that powerful! It was one of those screamers where you're yelling, "No! Don't do it!"

Although a young adult paranormal novel, the story deals with some very real life issues. I won't spoil it by saying what these issues are specifically, but think choices and consequences, vulnerability and strength, life and death, guilt and redemption. Evil. Love. It's these issues that lead through the paranormal world created by Angela Brown. It involves agents of heaven and hell, shadow-jumping and the Withers, where the Cleansers and Harvestors go to fight over lost souls.

But mostly, it's a tale about Abby, Basil and forbidden love. I understood their choices and how they ended up where they were. With all odds against them, I rooted for them wholeheartedly.

Did they make it? You'll have to read it to find out...
