Genest offers an excellent overview of all of the major theories of international relations. In addition to offering easy-to-understand explanatory comments on each theory, Genest offers a book filled with primary texts by the greatest proponents, ancient and modern, of each theory. It is those readings from primary texts which make this book such a gem. It serves as a wonderful collection of thought by the greatest thinkers of all time on war and diplomacy. If you are interested in politics, international relations, or even interpersonal dynamics, this book is for you.
