Finished before I could even post that I had started it. Michael Schofield lays bare his experience as a father of a mentally ill child. His relationship with self, spouse, and children profoundly resonated with me through his masterful writing. I read this over three days, on the train, during my commute to work. During the day, I could not shake it and was dying to get to the end of the day when I could get back on the train and enter the Schofield's lives again. As difficult as their experiences were (are) and as raw as this book is, it exudes hope and true love for those with mental illness-- a message that we must embrace to save our society.
