YYEESSS!!! FINALLY a book that for one reason or another I did not hate the heroine! In fact I LOVED Cassie!I knew before reading this book is was going to be awesome. The peeks Ms. Sterling gave us of this book before it was released confirmed that. But I have to admit it was even more than I expected! It is definitely one of my favorites this year. And now on with my review...

Jack and Cassie are both emotionally damaged by their parents. They have an issue with trust and letting someone in for fear that they will get hurt. Jack deals with it by being a man whore and never "dating" anyone. Cassie deals with hers by pretty much shutting herself off from everyone. But that all changes one night at a frat party. Jack immediately feels something for Cassie that he feels compelled to explore. After much persuasion on his part, Jack finally convinces Cassie to go on one date with him. During the date they both share the reasons behind their insecurities. By the end of it they have both realized that maybe they might just be able to fix each other.

"This doesn't change anything"- Cassie
"It changes everything"- Jack
"Prove it"- Cassie

And that is exactly what Jack sets out to do. They face the obstacles that come with wading through the uncharted territory of a relationship. One that is tested by Jack's status as a well known ball player first in college and then when he is drafted. They must endure weeks apart with nothing but phone calls, emails and text messages to get them through. Will they survive?

This book will take you through a roller coaster of emotions. Jack and Cassie's relationship face challenges that I honestly did not believe they could overcome. I was ready to throw my iPad against the wall about 65% in!!! I was screaming NO NO NO! But of course no one listened to me! I am so glad that things were not perfect for them though. Because honestly where would be the fun if our hearts were not ripped out and stomped on at some point in the book?!?! But it was all worth it for the ending which was PERFECT!

This is not a must read book...it is a YOU HAVE TO READ OR YOU WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOURSELF book!

Kudos to Ms. Sterling for another great book!

My heart belongs to you. And I'm not asking for it back, even if you won't want it anymore. I'm just asking for a chance to have your again. I promise I'll be more careful with it this time.”
