Full of action and cons, set in the complex world of the Edge and focusing on a very well matched couple, this was a fun book to listen to, especially with Renee Raudman's narration bringing it to life.

Kaldar is cocky and very competent, Audrey is cautious and independent and the two as a couple work very well. The war between the agents of the Mirror with those of the Hand is still raging and George and Jack, who had tagged along Kaldar's mission, get their first taste of battle. Those two are very interesting characters and I'm looking forward to seeing more of them in the next book and then in the Innkeeper Chronicles series.

The last book in the series, Steel's Edge, is Kaldar's older brother Richard's story.
