A sure sign that I like a book is when I can fly through 940 pages in five days. Winter of the World by Ken Follett is the second book in the Century Trilogy. The same characters from Fall of Giants are here though the main focus is on their children as they all navigate WWII. It's fascinating to have a story told from the perspective of American, Russian, English, Welsh, and German families. While there are definitely some flaws with this book (a few too many coincidences for one), I couldn't help but be enthralled by this story.
