Excellent and amongst the best few novels I have read this year.

Set in the beautiful foothills of the Cameron Highlands the story unfolds. In terms of any sort of moral or political stance, it is confusing, but deliberately so as the Judge struggles to come to terms with the war years. Highly recommended.
