Read from August 21 to 25, 2012

An amazing surrealist novel that reminded me a lot of the third policeman by Flann O'Brian. It takes place in an abandoned mountain town filled with ghosts, which a man goes in search of his father after his mother's death. The narrative and perspective are very fluid as are the rules of the universe. The dead speak and the living act like they have already passed away. It's very hard to describe the sense of dislocation experienced while reading the novel, so I just recommend everyone read it.
