I really loved this; it completely took me away to a different time.
It is a couple of years since I read this so I may not have a full memory of this book. I do know I really enjoyed it.

As I floated through this book, and the details of the story are dense and long, I think that I missed some of the story and could do with reading it again. It interested me in the reformation again and modernised it for me, even though these people are from hundreds of years ago are their way of thinking not similar to radical groups of today.

I only discovered after I had read it that this was written by a number of writers which I think explains why I found parts of it much harder to get through then others. At the time I did not overtly notice huge differences in writing style. So while I think it has some flaws this approach works overall.
