The second book of the series, takes the teenagers to rescue Michael's mother, who was held captive by the members of Elgen. They are a company who are providing electricity to countries, at a very cheap price. They have developed rats, that have electricity, like the babies, who were accidently exposed to a replacement machine for the MRI. I had a really hard time reading through the chapters about the rats. It almost made me stop reading. The leaders of Elgen want to make the people of the world dependent on the electricity they provide, and then to take over the leadership of the world.
