I really loved this book. I listened to the audio version and enjoyed the narrator. She did an awesome job giving voices to the characters.

In the early 70's Kate and Tully become friends. Tully, beautiful and motherless, Kate, shy and part of a Catholic family. Tully brings out the wild side of Katie, and Katie gives Tully the love and support that she has always needed. Over 30 years, the girls remain best friends. Their friendship is tested many times over those years.

I love the history that the author included in this novel. The songs of the times, the fashion trends, even hip slang words used throught the eras. She does an incredible job of drawing the reader in and making the emotions real. I laughed as much as I cried while reading this book and look forward to listening to it again.
