This is one of the most enthralling books I've read... ever.

Hosseini takes us back to pre-Taliban Afghanistan with the same fondness that we have for our own childhood memories. There are so many memorable chracters, relationships, and scenes in this story - it's impossible to not connect and sympathize with those who remember the beautiful landscape of Afghan history.

I will always feel sorrow for those who lost their cultural homeplace the way Hosseini describes in this book. It is truly one of my favorites.
