I enjoyed this book, but I also admit that I did skim some of the sex scenes.

This book focuses on Andreas and Ty from book one, specifically on Turning Andreas. Strong points: I loved how the author described and handled the turning process. It was both technical but we also got to see the emotions behind the momentous occasion. I really loved the part about Dak.

Now the not so enjoyable. I got tired of after every chapter we would hear Andreas say something sappy about how fantastic and enduring their love is and would be. We get it. You turned a vampire to be with him forever because your love is that great. You insult the readers' intelligence that you have to remind them of this fact ---- from the last chapter.

So, if you liked the other books, then I feel you will enjoy this book. However, if you want to enjoy the full quality of the author's ability I suggest you read her Conquest series. Her writing shines there, this book is simply covered in purple prose.
