After reading this book, I have learned that Tony Dungy is an extra ordinary man. Tony Dungy was very motivated and determined and that was why he made a great coach. The portion of this book that captivated my attention the most was the way Tony Dungy taught the game of football. Tony Dungy wrote this book to share his thought of coaching and his perspective on life. The emotion in the book was mostly happy for all the success of the coach Tony Dungy. There were sad parts in the book, when Tony Dungy was fired as head coach in Tampa. My favorite lines from the book are “Do what we do”, “No excuses, no explanations” and “whatever it takes”. Those are just some of Tony Dungy awesome physiology of being a coach. The name of the book’s subtitle “Quiet Strength” is really a view of the coach’s life as he drew strength in his faith in God. He relied on God for his strength daily for all things. I was able to predict the ending of the book because of all the effort that Tony Dungy put into coaching. I kept on reading this book for I wanted to learn about the life of a coach in the NFL. I would recommend this book to people who are NFL sports fan or people that interested in the coaching ladder of the NFL. If this book was made into a movie I would have the people in the book play their own parts. I would have the normal people playing the part because they know what really happened and the feelings they had during that time. I would live have a movie made is life and has made impact on coaches, players, and fan of football. He is definitely a hero in today’s world.
