"I didn't feel like a big fat idiot anymore. And I didn't feel like a hard-ass motherfucking Amazonian queen. I felt fierce and humble and gathered up inside, like I was safe in this world, too."

Fantastic story about deep grief and figuring out how to live in this world.

Carly The book twin trend continues. I LOVED this book.

Adrienne Furness I couldn't put this one down, and it made me think A LOT. I've spent a fair amount of time in the area where she started her hike, too, although I had no idea that trail existed. It's always cool to run into areas you know in books, though.

I'm reading the new Meg Cabot book right now, which is a lot of fun. Not quite so serious.

Carly I just found out she is coming to Rochester on May 1!

Adrienne Furness I know! I'm planning to go and am super-excited about it. That book had a pretty significant long-term impact on me.
