I've never read Wonder Woman, but I thought this was good. It felt very separate from the rest of the DC 52 I've been reading--very focused on her mythological background rather than anything in the rest of the world. Really, I could have been reading Vertigo almost. The art was the same way--somewhat reminiscent of Sandman. Not normally my style, but somehow it worked, although it took a few issues to get used to. Some of the characters had me racking my brain for their real identities. I came up with some, but others eluded me--or are DC's own creation. I'll be interested in reading more. I'm also curious about her characterization--hard to mesh her character here with the one in the first few issues of JLA.
