The book is definitely better than the movie, as it gives more of an insight into Grenouille's twisted mind, whereas in the movie you sort of just sympathise with him. I was amused at the cave scenes and his encounter with the fluid letale fanatic.

Overall it's a really great story, and interesting idea, and the prose is so fluid, easy to read and you're really able to empathise with Grenouille as well as detesting him.

Emma Omg I've been wanting to read this ever since I saw the preview for the film.
I find this sort of thing fascinating!!

I'm not sure whether it's better to read the book before or after watching the film, but it definitely helps to understand the movie more. It's creepy, but such a good book. :]
