did not like it
bookshelves: unfinished, sci-fi
Read in January, 2009

The only thing that rivals M. John Harrison's creativity and free thinking is his inability put those same thoughts onto paper in a compelling and simple manner. Perhaps the former is the cause of the latter? Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy an asynchronous plot covered in wild ideas and mystery, but this book is just out there. Way out there.

The three central storylines are introduced in the first three chapters, and by halfway through the book, switching between the three every chapter, two of them had somewhat connected. Or, at least, they were in the same space/time scale. Maybe. But this is when I put the book down because the separate stories were also going nowhere.
