This book was incredibly moving. Somaly is direct and blunt in her telling of the disturbing injustices she faced during her childhood in Cambodia. The statistics she shares about the number of children (and that is what they are) sold into sexual slavery in Asia and other countries throughout the world are horrifying. However, what Somaly has done to help these girls and start to make a difference in the world through the Somlay Mam Foundation is truly inspiring. This is not an easy read, nor should it be. But it should be read.
