really liked it

Being almost 17 is a tricky age- you're not prepared to be kept in the dark, and no one understands how horrible it is to be you. Everything out there is so much better, so full of promise; you will do things differently to your hopeless family, get away from your horrible home. But almost seventeen means you don't really understand your daggy mum and what she's coped with, or how your family story fits together. This is a really authentic voice, well drawn and honestly delivered . Nothing is quite how you picture it.....until life picks out the detail.
