I really loved the novel. You can really see how Felix's character matured throughout Once & Then. I guess it's mainly because he's forced into the role of Zelda's caretaker.

Machine guns, trains leading to death camps, kids with knives, pits with dead children.. That's a lot for two kids D; !

I found Zelda's character very admirable. She's probably the bravest six year old I have ever met - even if she was living during a time where the most powerful forces in the world wanted her dead.

It's my favorite book of all time :)
