Octopus: Sam Israel, the Secret Market, and Wall Street's Wildest Con

As a finance junkie, I was very curious to read about the Ponzi scheme built by Sam Israel III and Bayou Funds. I found this book to be more of a psychoanalysis of Sam Israel himself than a walkthrough of how he built the fraudulent hedge fund, but in many ways this was far more interesting. Guy Lawson dives into Israel's mind and his experiences to detail how he justified the massive fraud for many years, until the entire scheme came crashing down. Highly recommended for anyone interested in finance and how frauds are pepetuated.
