Book three! So by now it's only been an hour and a half since I started reading this series, half hour books just fly by.

In this book Jared, Simon and Mallory learn more about their great Aunt Lucinda whose house it is they are living, and who is the daughter of the man who made the guide.

This book explores a few more laws and aspects of the faery world, such as eating faery fruit and the introduction to even more mythical creatures. What these books do is show that children can be clever, cunning and just as brave when the time is right. Black's characters are bold and feisty and try so hard to be seen to be able to handle the situations around them.

Though nothing is revealed completely yet, we are slowly given information and facts to piece together. Each new book offers a little bit more and another perspective to the Guide, the creatures and where all of this could be leading. For something so short Black does make it rather intriguing and engaging.
