really liked it

I liked this one only slightly less than "Rendezvous with Rama." One of Clarke's earlier works, this one is packed with ideas and contains an emotional element that I've not found in his other works. It is interesting to see Clarke's youth coming through and to witness a certain kind of boldness that comes with youth. This story is bigger than Clarke's other stories.
