Is this book based even loosely on facts? I was expecting an afterward portion of the book to say which parts were fiction and which non-fiction, but there was no afterward :(. I will have to make time to google because the name Bellini does ring a bell for me as a famous tight rope walker.... will have to look up and re-review.

However, even if the book is total fiction, it was a fun read about a young girl who's mother runs a bed and breakfast in their home in Paris, France. The young girl, Mirette, takes notice of a boarder who is walking the clothes line in their backyard. This act captivates her and she longs to learn this strange skill herself.
