I think that Kevin Symmons is an extremely talented writer. This is his first published novel, but it reads like he's been writing about these characters as if they are close personal friends and as the reader, I came away feeling like I have known them for years. His descriptive voice put me in the scenes along with the characters. The scenery is so dead on that you can easily picture it in your mind and wish that you could visit. He writes clearly with full descriptions of every-one in the book and leaves no loose ends to figure out.
The pace at which the story progresses is excellent, he's found the secret to getting near the end of a chapter and wanting the reader to continue even though I stayed up late already. I loved it and can't wait for more.
