In this Poirot mystery, Captain Hastings and Poirot are enjoying a leisurely seaside vacation, when they meet up with a young woman who has had, in three days, three dangerous accidents. Poirot, suspecting that they are not accidents, begins to investigate.

It’s a good mystery with a nice twist of an ending, but not one of my favorites, mostly because I don’t really feel that everything is satisfactorily explained. Yes, there is the motive and the understanding of how (mostly) it worked, but no specifics, which gave the impression of several loose ends still at large.

Still, I do love Captain Hastings.
