Ceceilia's book club summer 2012.
Good for discussion. A lot of good symbolism to discuss. The focus on race and finding pride in being black felt a little heavy-handed to me. Educational concerning the Black Panther movement. Hated the mother. Have a hard time with children being mistreated ("mistreated" might be too strong here, but I have no sympathy for people who abandon their children out of a mistaken desire to follow their own dreams.)
