I thought about re-reading A Discovery of Witches before reading this book, and I wasn't sure that I would have time. But then, of course, I got completely sucked in and read the book. So, then I got Shadow of Night from the library, and it was the week I was taking the bar exam, so I didn't have a ton of time for reading. By the time I could start this book, I only had a week left and I thought about just taking it back and getting it again in a couple of months. But then I got completely sucked in. And that's why I am enjoying these books, because they don't want you to stop reading. I enjoy the characters and I enjoy the worldview in these books. I like how Deborah Harkness has created a world with supernatural creatures that is unique and interesting. In this book, she also included a number of historical characters, which can sometimes be cloying, but in this book I thought it was pretty well done and enjoyable. Now, we have to wait another year for the next book. But, if it's anything like this one, it will be well worth the wait.

Em I mine your goodreads for book recommendations, so I grabbed these with my Audible credits. I'm so glad I did. Thanks!
