A bit boring and didn't seem to have a purpose. I found the lack of quotation marks annoying and unnecessary. I did enjoy all the bird information. I found it unrealistic that religion was mostly ignored (except for the Buddhist) at such a time of grief.

Mimi I'm getting crotchety or something, but the lack of quotation marks I find very annoying - I have little patience for "artsy" writing, I just want a good story.
