Read in July, 2012 — I own a copy, read count: 1

I always preferred Banks's non-SF stuff to the SF but he seems to have been phoning 'em in lately - probably because he seems more into the SF than "proper" literature. This one is a slight return to form, though. Not up there with the magnificence of "The Crow Road" and "Complicity" but an easy, engaging read with a fair amount of Banks's trademark gleeful violence and sweaty-palmed tension. If you liked "Dead Air" (and I did) then you'll enjoy this one.
