I'm a no with this one. I was excited to read it, and I love historical fiction. And although I disagree with killing the entire family, the Romanov's were not in touch with their subjects, lived a lifestyle of excess, surrounded themselves with "yes" people and when it all fell apart, they were shocked. So I was unsympathetic to the Tsar ans Tarina. And I felt Darya should have left with Avram. She had enough money to get them passage to America. Just unrealistic. A terrible tragedy that could have been avoided with a little common sense.
