it was amazing

I was captivated by all the Enid Blyton books I read as a child, but there was something about The Enchanted Wood that sunk into my skin a little bit deeper than the school tales or the detective stories and I credit this book for my deep and abiding love of fantasy and the fact that as an adult I chose the fantasy genre over that of crime fiction or regular drama novels. There's a very believable escapism to it that makes the world real and yours and true. It's an utterly charming book and I no longer own or read it but I'd recommend it to any bright young minds in need of stimulation as a great doorway into a genre that can last a lifetime. At least, it did for this girl.
