How the HELL is this on the list of "Movie better than the book"? Um, yeah, no.

I didn't mind the Kevin Bacon movie so much, but it was so damn schizophrenic and hard to follow. This book is FAR more in depth, and while it didn't scare the everliving crap out of me, it's just the right amount of scary and suspenseful to keep me going.

Also, the who-dunnit throughout? He totally screwed me up, because I knew when he touched the comb that the person in question had done it, but then he flipped it all around on me and changed my mind and just bravo, sir, bravo.

Excellent book. Excellent, and you really CAN'T tell it's set in the 50's.
