Re-read. I found the science fiction books of RE Heinlein several years ago, and read through them all within a year ... and there are bunches of them, all diverting and imaginative. This is one of my favorites. It begins with the line "He's a Mad Scientist and I'm his Beautiful Daughter." And gets stranger and stranger. Ending with heroes jousting to enter Valhalla/Aesir, which of course unites it with my "Ring" interests. All of Heinlein's books are interconnected, with characters from one cropping up in others, but this one stands well on its own. A diverting read, with interesting characters.
