** spoiler alert ** An entertaining modern dystopia, even though you can see the ending coming from a long way off. This particular nightmare society features a fundamentalist faith that seems to be the offspring of evangelical Christianity, Facebook and reality-TV. Its set in a Britain hit by sea level rise and over-crowding, which together with the demonisation of childhood vaccines has resulted in high infant mortality. Thanks to the mobile library for the chance to read this one!
