The story is all about the death of Mozart. No one really knows how his life really came to an end but this book posits that it was a poisoning. This is a well researched novel that shows how his death is dealt with by his sister, a musical prodigy in her own right. Where Mozart went on to fame and respect while his sister was isolated and forced to care for Leopold in the end of his days. Nannaerl as she is known has been estranged from Wolfgang for several years when she gets a letter about her brothers death. The story takes her back to Vienna a city of former triumphs to investigate the death and the claim by her sister-in-law that Wolfgang was poisoned. Wrapped up in all this is Mozart's connection to the Free Masons. Just OK.
