I was stuck getting my vehicle repaired unexpectedly so I was without a book. I saw "Patriot Games" in a store and after much deliberation I decided that perhaps it would turn out to be than I expected. I should gone with my gut feeling.

The story centers around the 2012 Olympics in London and a madman who is bent on destroying the modern Olympics forever because the games have been corrupted by money and cheaters. What ensues is a story that I found to be utterly ridiculous and boring. The characters are dull and the dialogue is wooden at best.

Upon looking at the back of the book I found out that James Patterson is quite the prolific writer. For me that explains why the book was so boring. Perhaps Mr. Patterson should sacrifice quantity for quality. His writing certainly isn't going to make anyone forget fine literature.
