Jane Porter is one of my favorite authors and I was so excited to finally get this book but was disappointed. I really hate to do this but I have to be honest and maybe sometimes critisim will help an author.

Am I missing something about this book because everyone so far loves it and I really wanted to love it as well.Let me start by saying I could not finish this book I got bored and put it down a few times and went back to it. The story I thought was about Meg but after reading 157 pages in, it was more about her siblings and parents rather than her and her married life. I really tried to give it many chances but eventually gave up, way to much detail and not enough story about Meg. It's sad because I had high hopes for this book....well I will put it away for now and come back to it at a later time, maybe I will enjoy it another time. This is the first of a triology and don't know if I will buy the others.....
